George Junior Clark, 82, passed from this life on January 29, 2012 at the Kavanagh Hospice Home on 56th Street in Des Moines. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 10 am, at the Unity Church of Des Moines, 414 31st St. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.
George was born to George & Ethel Clark in Hastings, Iowa on August 25th, 1929. He retired from the State of Iowa DOT, where he worked as a Pressman. He is survived by his wife, Jennie, a son, James L., and a daughter, Vickie L. (Clark) Wagaman, two sisters, Betty Benson & Linda Davis and a brother Cecil Clark. George is also survived by three step children, Dan (Mary) Sears, Tim A. (Carrie) Sears, Michelle V. (Mark) Stites, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren, countless friends and many other whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed.
